Sioux County Students Win PSA Contest
In February, the National Safety Council, Nebraska held a Public Service Announcement Contest. Four schools, one from each class A, B, C, and D, would win a $2000 prize and their PSA would run at a local movie theater in or near its community. AAA got wind of the contest and funded 9 Honorable Mention Winners. Videos were followed on social media for a week from February 13th to 20th for popularity, and were viewed and judged for content after that.
The video #SiouxCountyBuclkesUp, “Buckle Up it Saves”, made by Kate Kling, Kyle Westover, and Nathan Woodrum, received Honorable Mention award and $500 for the school. Congratulations.
The video #SiouxCountyDontRiskIt, “It Only Takes a Second”, made by Taylor Rempp, Maddy Rodenbaugh, Trevor Ginkens, and Jeremiah Fink was selected as the winning Class D video, receiving $2000 for the school. Congratulations.
Both videos will run at the Eagle Theater beginning March 13, 2015 for 4 months.
