The Sioux County Warriors scooped up hardware at the Best of the West and
Panhandle Conference track meets last week.
Victoria Turbiville was the lone high school track member to compete at Best of the
West April 29 in Scottsbluff. She earned the sixth-place medal with a discus toss of
106’3”.
She followed the showing with medals in both shotput and discus at the Panhandle
Conference meet in Morrill May 2. She was third in shotput with a personal record throw
of 34’1.5” and fourth in discus with a 103’5.5”.
Warrior Zoey Sanderson also competed in the two events, taking 10 th in shotput with a
personal record 23’3.75”. She was 12 th in discus with a throw of 56’3”.
Morgan Randall’s highest appearance at Panhandle Conference for the Lady Warriors
came in the 100-meter dash, where she set a personal record of 14.53 seconds for
fourth place. She was eighth in both the 200-meter dash and the long jump, clocking a
31.65-second time for the dash and a 10’11” leap in the long jump.
On the men’s side, Preston Kreman came home with a trio of sixth-place medals. He
clocked a 12.75-second time in the 100-meter dash and set a personal record in the
400-meter run with a 58.34-second race. He recorded a 16’4.75” long jump for his final
medal.
