Tatum Reid of Crawford added another goat tying title to her record at the Thedford
High School Rodeo and was joined in the top 10 placings over the weekend by other
Crawford and Harrison competitors.
Reid’s goat tying win came courtesy of her 7.1-second time in the event. Her sister,
Tomi, tied for ninth in the event the same day with a 10.23. Tomi Reid added a seventh-
place finish in goat tying in Stapleton with a 9.08.
Fellow Crawford cowgirl Sage Dyer finished in the top 10 twice during the Thedford and
Stapleton rodeos May 17-18 in the breakaway roping. Dyer was sixth in the event in
Thedford with a 3.7-second catch and seventh in Stapleton with a 4.4.
Harrison cowgirl Blaise Lange picked up a runner-up placing in the team roping in
Stapleton with her partner, Crawford’s Rhett Flack. The pair posted a time of 11.5
seconds in the event. Lange was also ninth in the barrel racing that day, clocking an
18.514.
The Nebraska High School Rodeo circuit enters the northern Panhandle this weekend
for the regular season finale. Competitors will be in Morrill May 30, Harrison May 31 and
Crawford June 1.
