Harrison’s Blaise Lange continued her march to the State Rodeo Finals with four top 10

finishes over the weekend in Atkinson and Valentine.

Lange added a pair of fourth-place finishes in the barrel racing and breakaway roping

Saturday in Atkinson. She clocked an 18.343 in barrels and a 3.09 in the breakaway.

The following day in Valentine, she was fifth in the barrels with a faster 18.047-second

run and she and team roping partner, Rhett Flack of Crawford, held on for a ninth-place

finish with a 13.34.

Flack and Lange were the only Harrison and Crawford competitors to crack the top 10 in

Valentine, but two more Crawford cowgirls added to their efforts to secure spots at the

State Finals with their performances in Atkinson.

Sage Dyer was right behind Lange in fifth place in the breakaway with a 3.18-second

catch. Tatum Reid also placed in the event, taking 10 th with a 3.94. Reid was seventh in

the goat tying as well with an 8.77.

The cowboys and cowgirls will compete on their home turf this weekend, as the final

regular season rodeos take place in Morrill, Harrison and Crawford.
